
Gymnastics Inc. is excited to add dance classes to our variety of optional classes.
Junior Dance ~ This class is for young dancers who want to learn a variety of dance steps and have fun doing it. Dancers work on combinations, isolations and routines to perform for family and friends. Dance is a great way to get a little exercise and enjoy doing it, while at the saame time learning excellent skills like memorizing, musicality and working with a team.
Acrodance ~ This is a basic acrobatic tricks and tumbling class. The goal is to improve strength, coordination, and to enhance dance skills. Practice the basics of acrobatic movement including handstands, rolls, cartwheels, and more advanced flips for those who are ready. Partner balancing, group pyramids, and partnering tricks are just three of the skill sets students
explore in AcroDance. This class combines strength and elegance in what is one of the oldest performing art forms. Classes are designed for multiple skill levels.

Tap ~ Dancing done with metal plates on the shoes. This lively, rhythmic tapping makes the performer not just a dancer, but also a percussive musician. You will learn rhythm patterns for the feet including, standard time steps, percussive styles and rhythms through the more complicated steps of the Tap repertoire. You will gain knowledge of basic tap vocabulary and steps. Shuffles, flaps, flap heel, scuffles, running flaps, and riffs are some of the basic steps you will start with. Once you master those, maxi-fords, Irish, buffalos and beginning time steps will also be introduced.
Dance Technique ~ Basic body warm-ups focusing on strengthening arms, stomach muscles, and legs. Across the floor isolations, rhythm exercises, basic floor combinations, walks, runs, leaps, and falls. This class is based upon a balanced program of jazz, character and theater emphasizing the importance of technique and musicality. Style is important whether you are a gymnast, dancer, or cheerleader and this class can help you improve yours!
Broadway Jazz ~ A fun class where you learn different styles of Broadway dance and improve your cordination and musiciality. From Hairspray to Wicked, High School Musical to Aida this class will help you become a versatile dancer.
Stretch & Strength ~ This class anyone who wants to work on their stamina, strength and flexibility. With fast paced choreographed combinations to music, you will feel your muscles work and stretch and improve your overall performance. Whether you are a gymnast, dancer, aerialist, cheerleader, runner, or rock climber you can get results with this class!
Dancers should wear a leotard and either tights, leggings, or capri length pants. Shorts are okay with tights.
